Welcome to Mazeshare (hereinafter "the Site"). By using our services, you accept these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Site.
Mazeshare is a file hosting platform that allows users to store and share their personal files. The Site acts as a technical host within the meaning of Article 6 of French Law No. 2004-575 of June 21, 2004 on Confidence in the Digital Economy (LCEN).
In accordance with Article 6-I-2 of the LCEN, Mazeshare acts as a host and:
To use our services, you must:
It is strictly forbidden to use Mazeshare to store or share:
Mazeshare applies a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse material (CSAM). As such:
To manually report suspicious content, use the "Report" button on each shared file, or contact PHAROS directly via internet-signalement.gouv.fr.
In accordance with the LCEN, you are solely responsible for the files you upload and share via the Site. You warrant that you hold all necessary rights to the content you host and undertake to indemnify Mazeshare against any third-party claim related to your content.
Downloading shared files is open to anonymous (non-registered) visitors for files up to 10 GB. Beyond that size, a free account is required. Anonymous downloads are subject to a cooldown (one download every 6 hours) and may use a non-tracking technical cookie to prevent abuse.
Files uploaded under the free plan that have not been accessed for 12 consecutive months may be deleted after notification by email. Files of paid plans are retained as long as the subscription is active. In case of downgrade or cancellation, the user is given a 30-day grace period to retrieve files exceeding the new plan's storage limit.
Files are stored on an S3-compatible cold storage backend. File names and metadata are encrypted server-side using AES-256-GCM before being persisted; the storage provider has no access to plain-text file names. Download links are short-lived single-use HMAC tokens and are never exposed in browser referrers.
If you are a rights holder and believe that content hosted on Mazeshare infringes your rights, you can send us a notification via our dedicated DMCA page.
In accordance with the LCEN, we undertake to handle your request within 1 to 24 business hours and to remove any manifestly unlawful content.
In accordance with Article 6-II of the LCEN and Decree No. 2011-219, Mazeshare retains connection data (IP addresses, timestamps, account identifiers, technical metadata) for a period of at least 12 months in order to respond to requests from judicial authorities.
Law enforcement requests must be sent through official channels to [email protected]. Mazeshare reserves the right to disclose any required data as part of a legal procedure, without prior notice to the user where the law prohibits such notice.
As a technical host, Mazeshare cannot be held liable for content stored by users as long as it has not been informed of its unlawful nature. Mazeshare does not guarantee the permanent availability of the service and cannot be held liable for data loss.
You retain all your rights to the files you host. By using Mazeshare, you only grant us a limited technical license to store and transmit your files as part of the service.
Mazeshare reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in the event of a violation of these Terms, without notice or compensation. You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
Mazeshare reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be informed of substantial changes by email or by notification on the Site.
